Coffee, the old fashioned way!

The idea of Cup of Joe came to me after I had guzzled down nearly five cups of coffee one morning as I was designing. I kept thinking to myself that coffee now a days is so fancy and eccentric. I don't need a grande latte with whip cream or anything like that. Sometimes a tall cup of smooth black coffee does the trick.

I decided maybe I'm not the only one who thinks of coffee like this, and decided to make a package design that captured just that. I wanted to focus on controlling line weight consectively throughout the illustrations as well as challenge myself in making a package design that stands out without color.

Cup of Joe Coffee is none other than a 1930's cartoonist styled coffee brand with no tricks up its sleeve. Just some good ol' fashioned coffee!
