about
Gotham graphic
More than just type on a page.
Gotham Graphic was a project that I had pushed passed its original idea within school. The prompt was to create a type book that showcased a typeface, along with facts regarding its design, history, and how it is currently used. I redesigned the book to show more of what is possible with the chosen typeface, and how you could turn the type into more of a graphic within itself.
I wanted to push myself with this project, and discover new typographic techniques within illustrator as well as adobe photoshop. I also wanted to emphasize the graphic possibilities with the type face I had chosen, Gotham. It remains one of my favorite typefaces today because of the ability it has to look good in almost any design situation.
